Hello All! I don't know if Greg told ya, but I got a job! In the UP, so in the past I've been a Minnesotan and Hoosier and now I can add Yooper. I'll living in Houghton, MI and working at the Michigan Technological University as their Gov Docs Librarian. Yipee! So that's all very exciting and I start on July 16. I'll even have an office! Everyone that I met during the interview was very nice and helpful so it should be great.
No on to the frustrations of moving. I've got a mover and other such things, but lo! all the apartments encountered so far do not allow pets! What's a librarian to do? We'll just have to see. I've set up an appointment to get pre-approved for a home loan so I'm covered if it comes to that and I've already talked to a realitor up there. I go up on Wednesday to see what I can see and hopfully have a place to move. I really don't want to have to live out of a tent, they do actually have cougars and bears up there... tee hee
