Internship

Hello all! I believe I'm going to do an internship with the Goverment Information, Microforms and Satistical Services! Its a goverment repository too so it gets all sorts of fun government documents, whee! But yeah, I'll be working with the head librarian there Lou and she and I have already sort of decided what I'm going to work on: A publication of how to use Government Documents for Activists. So if you have any suggestions on what you, as activists, would like to find but am not sure how to go about it, let me know. Wheee!

Vinnie of Vinnie's Tampon Holders

So I have this documentary called "I Was a Teenage Feminist" and I was waiting for a mass showing, but I haven't got around to that either. So I watched it today, and the man who makes "Vinnie's Tampon Holders" was interviewed. I had no idea that he was a real MAN. He even wear's a nice shirt which has sewn on the back "Hi I'm Vinnie! Ask How You Can Get a Free Tampon Case!" I was amazed, the picture on the case sort of looks like him too. Amazing. I just wanted to share 'cause I know La Roux has a case and I didn't know if she knew. So the documentary was good.

I moved up North to get AWAY from this weather!

So the Druid is heading to Milwaukee to the weekend to train with his Sensei. Now my original plan was to stay home and have Greg make ure that I'm not causing disaster when I rip out my kitchen cabinets and put in the new (!!!!) Ikea cabinets.

Then I found out it is supposed to be 100 degrees with massive humidity this weekend. Realistically, I'm going to have a hard time summoning the will to pour soymilk over my cereal, much less redo my kitchen!

Oh, the other big chore I was going to work on was weeding. GAH!

So I may end up headed to Milwaukee with the Druid. Stupid HEAT!

FUCK YEAH!!!

I just came back from my second Hank III concert and he signed my tee shirt!!! I didn't know I could get so excited from meeting a singer. I am so wound up I don't think I can sleep tonight even thought I got up at 3am to bring a friend to the airport. Oh, wait I think I'm crashing as I type. Sweet. But the first half is awesome and then the second half is just a fucking circus, I was on the edge of the mosh pit and was it ever. And the guy who was singing and not playing must have been completely coked up there was blood smeared all over his head. But I was determined to watch the whole thing. There was a woman in front of me holding her water bottle like a teddy bear and her eyes were just enormous. I don't think she expected the metal part of the set. I asked her if she was okay, she looked really freaked out. Even now my hearing isn't completely back the second half was just soooo loud. I miss you all!
