Alas poor lappy, I knew you well...
Well folks, my lappy, she died. I am working on a repair for it but I don't know how likely it is. I opened it up last night and there was a blue sreen of death with nothing on it!
Of course when you have left a laptop on for about 6 years while it functioned as my soul computer and sometimes feline warming device you have to wonder about how long it will actually last.
More updates as events warrant.

Awww. Perhaps we can come together and say a few words.
That sucks, Greg. Sorry to hear. I remember many a night, huddled around with friends. We gazed into the warm glow of the screen and reruns of childhood danced across our eyes. We were young again. If only for a moment.
When are you getting a new one?
Oh, I can't out-do the la roux eulogy. But six years is an excellent run for a little laptop. I remember when it was all new and shiny with all that blank RAM just waiting to be filled with data. Awww.
